What's the price you can afford?

I watched a movie 'dumplings' with my sister yesterday. Here is the movie description.
Served hot, either steamed or simmered in broth, "dumpling" has conquered the hearts of Chinese for more than 1400 years. At your first bite, its juicy meat and vegetable filling offers a gush of exquisite heat and aroma that would linger on and on. Chinese dumpling is inexpensive and practically available everywhere¡K unless you're talking about Mei's secretive dumpling -- with a bizarre pinkish glow permeates through its delicate hand-made dough wrapping. Mei's dumpling is not meant for ordinary folks - if you dare to try, be prepared for a price beyond your imagination......
Sound bizzaire huh? It's a story about an actress who got married with a millionaire. She ate Mei's secretive dumpling, with human embryo as filling, in order to retain her beauty, and her husband's love.
You got to pay a high price for something you are desperate to have. However, how much can you give up? Are you sure it's sth you really want? Or
you are just fulfilling your arrogance? Posted by Hello

Passage to the fairyland

Here we come to YangMingShan national park. YangMingShan is a sleeping volcano actually. Famous for the hot spring. Too bad we didn't have enough time to enjoy it. This place is called XiaoYaoKeng. You can see the smoke and smell the sulphur! Brilliant! Posted by Hello

Queen's head

Queen's head, the most famous weathering feature in YeLiu park. Since the rock contains different elements and they react differently to the wind and rain, so here it comes the statues. You can see that some looks like a mushroom! Posted by Hello

Beautiful rock

Can you see the layers of the rock? It was under the water for centuries. With the crust movement it was pushed up. It is just a baby sedimentary. I saw a mountain like this on the way to YeLiu! Too bad I couldn't take the pic. Posted by Hello

Wonderful!

After the temple, we headed to our Day 3 destination, YeLiu. It's a place famous for its natural landscape. We went there for the sedimentary rocks and weathering features. I am sun-kissed after walking under the hot sun for several hours! Posted by Hello

Cargo containers

Tons of cargo containers. Very similar to HK's one. Posted by Hello

Keelung port

Keelung port, a natural harbour as the tour guide said. Kind of prosperous. Posted by Hello

Stairs to climb

The stairs are super steep! I guess it's less than 45 degrees. Posted by Hello

Big Guanyin guarding the port

Enormous Guanyin. You can actually climb the steps and go to the top! There are 5 storeys in the statue. Posted by Hello

Zen stone monument

I like this stone monument. Very Zen. Let me try to translate it:
A man asked another man: If people praise me, bully me, insult me, laugh at me, look down on me, dislike me, scold me and cheat me, what can I do???
Another man said, 'You can only tolerate him, let go of him, avoid him, wait for him, respect him and ignore him, see how he will be after a few years?
Wonderful anger management skills. Posted by Hello

Temple

Taoism is the major religion in Taiwan. People worship Guanyin and Mazu. Here we came to a Guanyin temple on Day 3. Since we didn't have enough time for incidents like yesterday, we joined a one day tour. It turned out to be we 2 were the only participants of the tour. Kind of like renting a car with driver, great! Posted by Hello

Taiwanese hospitality

It was 9 sth in the evening and we were on our way back to the hotel. We took the train and it wasn't packed. I had such an expression because...... Posted by Hello

Lady, you need a more comfortable seat. Your pat pat hurt

The lady simply sat on the handle without telling me! I thought it wouldn't happen in Taiwan. As I said, we came across a lot of funny little incidents about railway! Posted by Hello

Toilet bowel

What a combination! A toilet bowel on a table. Make a guess, what is it? Posted by Hello

New plate

It was used to replace the plate! Don't worry, it's not shit. The food tasted quite good actually.
P.S. I took the pics from the windows on my right. Posted by Hello

Beautiful quiet little city of sadness

I took this pic from the window of a restaurant. The building was actually a teahouse. Taipei was the far area with a lot of lights. The little city was quiet, regardless of the time. Breeze, quietness and scenic view fed my tired soul. Posted by Hello

A city of sadness

After the 'Very' big waterfall and the railway accident, we reached our next destination, JiuFen, finally. It is a city on the mountain which was also a mining city in the past. It became popular because a Taiwanese director made a movie called 'A city of sadness'. Now the city is occupied with cafes, restaurants, shops and little hotels. Still you can smell its little sadness and experience the quietness. Posted by Hello

I am not as brave as Jacky Chan

Before I went there, I was brave enough to walk the entire railway. But once I landed my feet on the wood bars, retreat didn't seem a bad idea too. Especially when you could feel the shaking and there's a shallow river 20 feet underneath...... Posted by Hello

When can we leave???

We reached the station at 2 sth in order to catch the next train. We were several minutes late so we couldn't catch the one we planned but that's ok. We then walked around and waited for the 3 sth train. At 3:15pm, the staff told us the train got major problems and would be delayed. We had no other options but wait. The service resumed at 5 sth. According to the villagers, there're any major train problems these few years. How lucky and honorable we are! Posted by Hello

Run!

We were very much connected with railway in Day 2. We walked on the railway on our way back to the station (exactly this one) as everyone did. Never could you imagine that we were chased by the approaching train in the tunnel! While we were walking pass the dark little tunnel, there was a train approaching! Luckily?! the captain saw us and told us to go back. We then, like those refugees who run for life and freedom, ran back to the entrance of the tunnel. After the train had passed, we walked, or I should say ran through the tunnel at World record speed in order to avoid being chased by another train! I guess there're only a few people have such an experience Posted by Hello

My first 3D waterfall

We walked 40 minutes under the hot sun and finally we reached the 'Very' or 'Ten Marks' big waterfall! Not a very big waterfall actually but it's my first time to see a 3D one, rather than a 2D one on the book! The water made quite some sound and the water vapour made the environment very misty. Since we walked, climbed and ran for a distance, we were all wet, with the sweat and the vapour. This is a lot better than the Sogo shopping mall. Posted by Hello

I have tried my best to look cool......

Scary suspension bridge! The bridge moved while you walked. Impressed by my courage and ability to pretend to be calm! Posted by Hello
